The Security We Provide
Internet shopping is safe
supports the IMRG "Internet Shopping is Safe" Campaign and we are on the Safe Shopping List,
under the operator of this site, eSpares Ltd. This campaign is also backed by Industry and Government and aims to
re-assure the customer of the safety of shopping online. Please click on the image to see the list.
'ISIS Safe Shops' lists the best of British online shops. Consumers may have never heard of some
of the best internet shops, particularly if they are small or new. That's where the ISIS scheme
comes in.
Shoppers can buy with confidence from shops on the ISIS Safe Shops List because all:
- Subscibe to the principles of the ISIS campaign
- Have been screeeded by IMRG
- Maintain IMRG's 'good practice' standards (if not, they would have been unlisted)

Top ten tips for online shoppers
Top ten tips for Online Shoppers:
Official consumer internet shopping advice from the e-retail industry
- All of your usual shopping rights apply online: see www.consumerdirect.gov.uk
- Know who you're dealing with: get the seller's phone number and postal address
- Be aware of terms and conditions: check payment and delivery details
- Keep records of what you order
- EU law protects you against fraudulent use of your payment card in EU transactions: credit cards give you extra protection
- Only give your payment card details over a secure connection, and never by email: never disclose your PIN to anyone, and NEVER send it over the internet
- You usually have at least 7 days to cancel an order and request a refund from an EU retailer
- Check your payment card statement carefully: you have at least 90 days to report a suspect transaction
- When you buy goods online from outside the EU: you are an importer and may be liable to pay any Customs Duty and VAT; err on the side of caution as it may be difficult to seek redress if problems arise
- If you have a problem, contact the seller then, if you need to, the payment card company, local Trading Standards Office and any 'trustmark' organisation the seller is registered with

How do you secure my payments?
We employ state-of-the-art data encryption to ensure safe and secure transactions on our site.
Our payment area is secured using industry standard Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL).
You’ll know when you enter this area because the small yellow padlock appears in the bottom
right hand corner of your browser. The other indication is in the address bar. You’ll notice
that http:// is replaced by https:// (the ‘s’ standing for ‘Secure’).
Your internet browser provides visual indications that you are inside a secure site and that
all data transferred is securely encrypted.

What is SSL?
Secure Sockets Layer, SSL, is the standard security technology for creating an encrypted link
between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between our web server
and your browser remains private and secure. This system is used by literally millions of websites
worldwide to secure internet transactions between the server and the customer.
In order to be able to generate an SSL link (signified by the gold padlock in the information tool bar),
a web server requires an SSL Certificate.

Security Code?
The card security code is a unique three or four-digit number printed on your debit/credit card. This
number is not embossed on the card and hence not printed on receipts - making it difficult for anyone
other than the genuine cardholder, to know it.
Some card issuers refer to this number as the 'Card Security Code' others as the 'personal security
code' and others as 'Card Verification Value'.
Some cards, many UK-issued cards for example, have a three-digit number printed at the top of the
signature strip on the reverse of the card.
